Akapan
Thomas Andrzejewski, known by his pseudonym Akapan, is a French visual artist.
Through his composite work involving the digital construction of images transcribed into paint, he combines his reflections on anxiety and depression with architecture, with the aim of cultivating unease and nostalgia for a non-existent memory. His paintings and installations aim to make tangible an inner world of anguished poetry and questions about the universe around us, the incoherence of human existence and the confusion of self-awareness.

Federica Frati
Federica Frati lives and works in Brescia.
She has experimented with the main engraving techniques particularly that of woodcut. From the prints woodcuts also derive several other works, such as paintings and
monotypes, where the color and black of the intaglio ink
scratch the paper or are transformed into new matter.
Man, understood as a fragile creature at the mercy of a cold and empty Firmament, is at the
center of her research. In 2015 she won the XXXVII edition of the
Matteo Olivero prize, for the painting section and a special prize
for the quality of the engraving work.
In 2019 some of her etchings became part of the collection housed in the Gabinetto
of prints in Bagnacavallo (Ra). In 2019 one of her woodcuts has
received a merit mention in the competition Constantine the
Great in Nis, Serbia. In August 2019 and 2020 she was invited to
exhibit her prints at Global Print Douro, Portugal. In 2021 one of her works was acquired by the collection of
Palazzo Bertazzoli, (Brescia).
She actively exhibits in group and solo exhibitions and her work has been reported several times nationally and international level.
“Mimesis is for me only a starting point. This choice was decisive and also difficult to make in
as copying the real is a reassuring practice; it is different to produce images that, just by evoking the
reality, maintain a strength and coherence of their own.”
