About the artists

How do I get to know the artists ?
Well we have a nice little section [link] with a short biography for every artist that also explains what they do (and maybe even why they do) , with complementary links to their social media profiles and websites.

Is there a sort of "spectrum" regarding the artworks ?
Yes. We like to propose artworks that deal with the fabrication and statuses of the image and image-making,
incuding various processes like manual/tracer printing, collages, etchings and analog and experimental photo development.
The artworks themselves are of small to medium dimensions in order to keep the packing and sending uncomplicated.

Ordering and expedition

How does the expedition of the artworks work ?
When you order an artwork on Imago, the platform receives the payment. The artist gets notified that they have sold something, receives the given names and adress, and proceeds to send it themselves. Imago does not store and prepare the artworks for sending, that remains the task of the artist.
We do control that the package has been sent and we provide the buyer with a tracking number of its order as soon as we get one.

Ok, but what happens if the artist is not able to dispatch the order on time ?
In this case we would check out with the artist what's going on. If they can send the artwork to a later date we notify you about the whens,
and you decide if you want a refund or not.

How long would a delivery take ?
That depends on where the order is supposed to be shipped to (and where from), but we estimate a 7-10 days of max delivery time for countries within the euro zone. The average delivery time can also be shorter than that. You get an automatic notification per email when the order has been dispatched.

Do you send outside Europe ?
Unfortunately no, we don't. We are a very small enterprise and the constrains and obstacles in terms of taxes and customs when dealing with intercontinental shipping are simply too high for us to deal with at the moment. Maybe in the future ...

Reclamations

The package was lost during transportation :(
We cannot cover the loss of the package, that would be the responsability of the firm delivering it. But if they aren't cooperative we can surely help by pressuring them. If nothing can be done, we will try to have another artwork sent to you if you wish, and for no fees.

The artwork has arrived damaged !
We make sure with the artists that everything that is sent is in an impeccable condition, and protected from water damage, folds, etc. But unfortunately, damage during transportation or delivery can still occur. We can't unfortunately perform systematic refunds, but if something really went wrong please write to us and we will review the problem.

I ordered, paid, but I received no order confirmation.
Order confirmations are automatically sent. Maybe it landed in the spam folder of your email inbox, or in a « promotions » folder of some sorts.
If you cannot find a confirmation anywhere, get in touch with us at [imagohotline@gmail.com.] , we will confirm your order « manually » as soon as possible.

Economic model

Do artists pay fees to be on the platform ?
Artists do not pay any fees here. The goal is to help them selling and creating income for their art, not profit on their back !

Does the platform take a percentage on sales ?
No, we don't do that either. We aren't a gallery or a speculation-oriented business.
That means that the full price of an artwork (incl. delivery costs) goes straight to the artist who made and sent the artwork. What we do instead is taking an additional 20€ per sale to help with the maintenance costs of the website.
